NCADP has negotiated a specially reduced room rate of $95/night for up to 4 people in a room.  Reservations can be made now by calling 800-637-4817.  Choose Option #2 for group reservations.  Tell them that you are attending the NCADP conference to get the special rate.  Or click here book your room(s) on-line.  
Note:  An early departure fee of $50.00 will be charged to any guest who checks out before their stated departure date.  Please confirm your departure date upon checking into the hotel.

 

Room Accessibility

The Holiday Inn Harrisburg East hotel is fully accessible for people with restricted mobility and has guestrooms adapted for wheelchairs.  Arrangements for a guestroom that meets your specific requirements should be requested when making reservations with the hotel.  If you have a physical challenge that may impact your participation in this training, please contact Jeanne Larson at (612) 824 - 8768, ext. 101 or jlarson@bwjp.org immediately to discuss accommodations.  We cannot ensure the availability of appropriate accommodations without at least two weeks prior notification.

 

Transportation Information

 

Air or Train

We encourage you to fly into the Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Alternative airports include Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) in Baltimore, Maryland (1 hour 45 minutes / 95 miles) or Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (2 hour / 110 miles, or transfer to Amtrak).  Amtrak services Harrisburg from most major cities.

 

The hotel has complimentary, outdoor parking.

 

Complimentary Hotel Shuttle

There is a complimentary hotel shuttle to/from the Harrisburg International Airport (MDT), as well as to/from the Amtrak Train station.  Please call the hotel from the airport baggage claim area to summon the shuttle.  Or you may take a five minute taxi ride from the airport for approximately $20.00.  The Amtrak train station is seven miles west of the hotel.  To arrange transportation from the Amtrak Station, please call the hotel a day prior to your arrival to coordinate.  A taxi ride from the Amtrak Station will cost approximately $25.00.  Shuttle priority is given to those traveling to/from the airport.

 

Meals

Conference participants will enjoy three continental breakfasts, two box lunches, two receptions, and Saturday night’s Awards Dinner.  One day registration does not include admission to the Saturday night’s banquet.  Banquet tickets are available for an additional fee.

 

The Holiday Inn offers two dining options: Off Season’s Lounge and the Seasons Restaurant.  Restaurant dining is available from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Please visit http://www.hiharrisburg.com/guestrooms.asp for other hotel amenities.


Come early or stay late to enjoy the area! We have negotiated our special rate for hotel rooms from January 18 to January 28, 2009 (three days before and after our conference dates) for those who would like to come early or stay late. The hotel is kid-friendly with a nice indoor pool area and game room, and there are fun things to see and do for those would like to come early or stay late.  Hershey has numerous wintertime sights, including an American League Hockey team and Hershey's Chocolate World. Harrisburg is home to the National Civil War Museum and a lively club and restaurant scene. Skiing is nearby at Ski Roundtop. See http://www.visithhc.com for more on the region.
